Court Interpreter

AllWorld Language Consultants is currently seeking qualified, professional and experienced Court Interpreters to provide language interpreter services to the Department of Justice in several locations throughout the fifty United States and U.S. territories in the following languages:

Spanish, Mandarin, Creole, Foo Chow, Russian, Arabic, French, Indonesian, Punjabi, Armenian, Albanian, Amharic, Fulani, Korean, Urdu, Portuguese, Tibetan, Bengali, Vietnamese, Soninke, and more…

Court Interpreters Duties include, but are not limited to, performing simultaneous, consecutive and sight translation during immigration court proceedings, translation of documents, court petitions, reports, etc. Accurately completes required documentation and submits it in a timely fashion. Performs other language interpretation duties as assigned.

Skills/Requirements

• Possess and maintain a valid certificate as court interpreter (NAJIT, JITCE, Federal or national certifications)

• US Citizen or Permanent Resident (green card holder)

• Lived in the US for 3 of the past 5 years

• One year prior Legal Interpretation experience

• Knowledge of terminology used in immigration court proceedings in English and native language
