President & CEO
Carlos Scandiffio is President and CEO of AllWorld Language Consultants, Inc. (ALC), a consulting firm with worldwide headquarters in Rockville, Maryland. As the sole owner, he has been intricately involved in the administration, development, and marketing of ALC. Mr. Scandiffio has taken the company from a three-person operation in 1994 to a global enterprise represented in five countries. With 385 full-time employees, and more than 900 subcontractors and consultants working around the clock in support of the U.S. Government and private enterprises, his team furnishes a vast array of technical and linguistic services: translation, interpretation, desktop publishing, graphic design, video production, security and counterintelligence.
Mr. Scandiffio's involvement in the community includes serving as President of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Montgomery County, Board of Directors of Leadership Montgomery, Montgomery County Business and Educational Roundtable Board, Rockville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and Silver Spring Economic Development Committee. He is a member of the National Military Intelligence Association, National Defense Intelligence Association, and American Society for Industrial Security, Montgomery County Cable Communications Advisory Council, Greater Washington Board of Trade and the American Translators Association.
Mr. Scandiffio was honored as Small Business Person of the Year for the entire Washington metropolitan area (2000). He was also praised as one of Fifty Most Influential Minorities in Business (2001) and as "Champion for Children" for long-standing support and dedication to Montgomery County Public Schools (2003).
Mr. Scandiffio possesses over two decades of experience in the fields of translation and interpretation. He is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Languages and Linguistics, and has attained Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration. He has completed certificates from the Defense Security Service Academy (Facility Security and Automated Security), Laboratory for Scientific Interrogation, and the John Reid School of Investigation and Security.
Mr. Scandiffio is married and has four children and one grandchild.
